Our unique ‘Railway Library’, located in a working station on the scenic Lancaster to Barrow Line, is now available for use. It is primarily a reference library, free and open everty Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11.00 to 16.00 – or by appointment. We also have a growing lending section which people can use ‘in person’, also free of charge. We have a large number of books for sale (mostly donations which duplicate existing stock – keep ’em coming!)…/
On the second Saturday of every month we have a special ‘open day’ with coffee, tea and cake. Our ‘Mutual Improvement Class’ (MIC) is usually on the second Wednesday at 14.00 with informal but interesting talks. See ‘events’.
Kents Bank is a great place to visit, on the north shore of Morecambe Bay. It’s a pleasant walk, or quick train ride, from Grange-over-Sands. Next door to Station House is the excellent Beach Hut Gallery. The station gardens are a delight at any time of year, cared for by Friends of Kents Bank Station and Foreshore.
