Getting here:
It’s easy (susually – see below): Trains are generally every hour, with most running direct from Manchester Airport, to Barrow-in-Furness. There are some trains that start from Lancaster and continue via Barrow to Carlisle – one of Britain’s great scenic rail journeys. If you are travelling from further afield there are connections at Preston and Lancaster, or Carnforth if coming via the Bentham Line from Leeds and Skipton.
When you get off the train coming from the Lancaster direction, please wait for the train to depart before using the foot crossing – and check there’s nothing coming the other way (some trains are timed to cross at Kents Bank).
You can leave your bike outside the station or bring it down the steps to the cellar yard.
If you do need to come by car, there is ample parking on Kentsford Road. The station is signed from Allithwaite Road, as you come out of Grange-over-Sands.
