We continue to receive some really special donations to the collection. Recent donations have included the Grand Junction Railway’s ‘Road Guide’ published in the early 1840s.
We get donations from individuals near and far – we have received a substantial collection of books by a local resident in Grange which includes many Oakwood Press branch-line histories, scarce books on canals and tramways.
We are happy to do swops with bookshops and heritage railways. We recently gave several boxlaods of duplicates to the East Lancashire Railway’s shop at Bury, in return for a smaller number of useful additions that filled gaps in our collection.
If you want to offer us something, ring Paul on 07795 008691

We have also been given some brand new books published by the Cumbrian Railways Association and the Industrial Railway Society.
Most recently we have been given a large number of Oakwood Press titles from a friend in Altrincham, as well as some really good material from Friends of the National Railway Museum. These include some bound volumes of the Great Western Railway staff magazine, stretching back to 1907.
Many thanks to all.
