We are developing our book sales section – good quality books that duplicate our stock. All proceeds from sales go back to helping the library. We can provide stalls at book fairs, conferences and community events – let us know and we’ll do our best to be there.
Most of our books are sold at very low prices – typically either £1 or £2 – though some more specialist/rare books are priced at £5 or £10. We have several spare copies of the excellent David and Charles series of railway histories, and Oakwood Press titles, for example.
We have several spare bound volumes of Railway Magazine, stretching back to the early 1900s. These are real gems and much cheaper than what you would be pay to a specialist bookseller. Most are for sale at £10 but a few of the older ones (in good condition) are £20.
Come and have a look! At this stage we are not doing sales by post, you have to come and see for yourself. But it’s a great day out, and easily reachable by train.
