We have a great team of volunteers, some of whom combine the library with the gallery next door.
However, a growing number of our volunteers want to focus on the library. You don’t need any specialist library skills, just a welcoming manner for our visitors and helping out with a bit of shelving etc.An interest in railways, trams, buses or canals would help
We need help on lots of areas such as:
- welcoming visitors and showing them round
- Book cataloguing
- shelving
- keeping the stove going!
- Helping with the pop-up cafe
- Taking money for book sales
- running stalls at others’ events
