A happy New Year!
The Library has got off to a good start with a well-attended open day on January 6th – we’re open again on Saturday January 13th, then we’ll be open every second Saturday of the month (as well as by appointment).
On Wednesday January 10th we’ve an evening talk by Richard Hinchcliffe on ‘Flying Scotsman in America’. Starts 7.30, pre-booking essnetial.
On Friday January 19th we’ve a very special day – the official unveiling of our ‘Kents Bank’ station sign and formal opening of the library, by Lord Hendy, Chair of Network Rail.
We’ve also had some really good book donations which have helped fill some gaps. Still need those Railway Magazines for second halves of 1913 and 1931….
